I am a creative leader with an extensive background in consumer experience and museum exhibition design. My work is grounded in content-rich, multimedia environments, digital interactives and in-person consumer engagement.
My expertise is in unconventional and complex projects that require visual and narrative coherency across multiple and diverse components.
I am especially adept at working with clients from the very foundation of their projects – helping to identify relevant insights from data and research, to determine project goals and objectives, to develop content, and most importantly, to form the strategies that will guide the entire creative process.
Currently, I am the Executive Creative Director at Twenty Four 7 Inc, a consumer strategy and experience design agency in Portland, Oregon.
While my most of my work includes digital interactives, multimedia, web and mobile experiences, I’ve always gravitated toward projects that live in real spaces.
These in-person engagements are compelling and memorable as they can enliven all the senses. This gives the creative team broad control of the narrative. I am especially interested in the power of digital experiences in real space to encourage face-to-face social interaction, to invite participation, and to give consumers an active role to play.
Stay in your lane?
-
My best work happens when the team works democratically and when the design process is a shared responsibility.
It is crucial that ideas are freely shared and that the collective thinking builds off of individual contributions. I encourage each team member to bring, not just their enthusiasm and expertise, but their candid selves.
And, I give each team member space to extend their creative reach beyond their designated roles. This is paramount! No one should ever feel that they have to stay in their lane, or that they may be stepping on someone else’s toes if they do. On my team, each person’s ideas and creativity must be unrestricted and their contributions respected. This impartiality is how we support each other, and how I guide, motivate, and inspire creative teams to do great things - together.
